A 16th Century coaching inn nestled in the village of Long Crendon on the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire borders. The Angel dining rooms is a delightful Venue for bespoke celebrations.

The charming Inn brims with character, exposed beams, open fireplaces and original wattle & Daub wall. With a bright, airy conservatory we can offer and an alfresco reception on the sun terrace, in the warmer months.

We offer exclusive use of our space for celebration dining, working with you to offer a menu for all your moments of celebration. Harmonising with this we have four individual en-suite B&B rooms for guests or Resident dining.

Running alongside this we have developed a successful Pantry & Patisserie of home-cooked meals and desserts for busy lives, for weekends, Stocking up on

Family Meals or Holiday meals.

The Angel at home team are dedicated to offering a pick up menu & wine list that runs along side our new pantry & oven-ready home cooked family meals. They are all packaged in Sustainable, eco-friendly materials. Available for pre order from Wednesday to Saturday, collection from 2pm..

Our pick up menu is available Wednesday’s, Thursday’s, Friday’s And Saturday’s. We take orders up to 10pm for next day collection.

Annie & I have been running the Angel for over 20 years, while bringing up a young family.

We understand the continual pressure to feed a family with home-cooked, healthy and also tasty dinners.

As our girls are all grown up now, over the times, we have developed a small range of home cooked family meals, which will now be available for pre-order for you.

Whether stopping for a single night or taking a short break, the Angel is perfectly located to explore the countryside of Oxfordshire and Bucks, with the M40 a little under 5 miles away, and within easy reach of London.

Individually styled…

Each of our comfortable double bedrooms are individually styled with modern en-suite facilities. An included breakfast is served in the restaurant, with a choice of either a continental or cooked breakfast. Dinner reservations for our residents and their guests are also available for booking.

After a wonderful meal for our ‘lockdown’ anniversary in June, we again enjoyed a superb beef wellington for our New Year’s Eve celebration ‘a deux’. And then we asked ourselves ‘why only for special occasions?’ Without lockdown we’d be eating out most weeks - and be spending more than this, even without wine! ... so tonight’s ‘meal out in’ is lamb en croute. The whole experience of ordering from a delicious and varied menu, using a great app, to picking up in a well ‘isolated’ space with great ambience - music, roaring fire etc, to popping in the oven using clear instructions is a true delight. Thank you and well done the Angel.
